MultiConnect® mCardTM gateway accessory cards provide the flexibility needed to manage a wide range of different wired and wireless interfaces and associated communication protocols required to connect sensors, appliances, and assets to the MultiConnect® ConduitTM programmable gateway. Two accessory cards, referred to as mCards, plug directly into the rear of the Conduit gateway to support additional interfaces to connect a wide array of wired or wireless field assets or provide Internet backhaul. Available options include a LoRaWANTM Ready mCard, multi-function serial (both DTE and DCE variants), GPIO and 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet. The LoRa accessory card is capable of supporting thousands of MultiConnect® mDotTM long range RF modules monitoring and controlling remote field assets.

Two accessory cards, plug directly into the rear of the Conduit gateway to support additional interfaces to connect a wide array of wired or wireless field assets or provide Internet backhaul. The Conduit gateway which ships with a single Ethernet connection on all SKUs can accommodate up to two mCards to connect to your network, assets or the Internet. As the first Arm Mbed Platform listed on mbed.org that is industry certified and deployment ready, applications can be written and compiled quickly online using developer friendly libraries, downloaded and hosted within the mDot. Decision making and control is distributed to the edge, enabling data to be more actionable without the heavy lift required to optimize RF performance, implement complex M2M middleware and security protocols needed to deploy a low touch install. In addition, mDots come from the factory with AT command firmware preloaded. This means you can use the mDot as an AT command driven LoRa modem. No custom software development for the mDot is needed when operating in this mode.

Overview

Technology

Billion LCMS solution is based on narrowband power line communication (PLC) system, enabling the administrators to centrally manage and control the large-scale streetlight networks. Built with the Billion intelligent LED drivers, the advanced streetlight with dimmer and power metering functions embedded can adjust groups of luminaries with pre-defined setting based on trend analysis to ensure high performance, efficiency and reliability and to extend the life expectancy of the streetlights.
